Our Process

COVID-19 testing has never been easier. Skip the doctor’s office where you could potentially be exposed or expose others and simply order your test online. Have it delivered to your home, where you collect your sample comfortably and on your own time. After shipping your sample back to us, we will have your test results back to you within 48 hours. While there’s still a lot of unknown surrounding COVID-19 one thing is for sure, knowing if you are infected has never been so simple. If you did not receive your instruction sheet, you can download or read the instructions HERE. If you are having any trouble with any of the steps below, please watch our instructional video found HERE.

1. Order Your Kit

Purchase your kit online or at a retail location. Our online purchase option is through Amazon.

2. Recieve Your Kit

Your kit will come via FedEx. Before starting your sample collection, be sure to read through all of the instructions included or watch our registration video HERE. It’s important to remember that you must ship your sample the same day as collection and not over the weekend. If you are unable to do this, please wait until you can.

3. Register Your Kit

You can register your kit one of two ways:

  1. Scan the provided QR code found in your kit with your camera setting and click on the link to register.
  2. OR you can register your kit online at Assurance.GeneraMedical.com.

Follow the provided online instructions using your unique Kit ID/barcode labels found on the collection tube and registration card. Remember to register your kit before you collect your sample.

4. Arrange for Shipping

Check the return label on the return mailer to identify the shipping center, either UPS or FedEx. Confirm the nearest drop box location and hours. Ship the sample the same day as your sample is collected before the last pickup. DO NOT ship over the weekend.

5. Prepare for Collection

Remove all contents from the shipping box and bag. Ensure the collection tube has a Kit ID/barcode label. If it does not, place the spare Kit ID/barcode label on the collection tube (this can be found on the registration card). Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water before taking your sample.

6. Collect Your Sample

To collect your sample follow these 5 steps:

  1. Place the swab inside one nostril until it meets resistance (about 1/2 to 3/4 inches).
  2. Rotate the swab against the nasal wall 3 to 5 times taking at least 15 seconds to collect your sample. (Ensure that the swab does not come in contact with any other surface than the inside of your nostril.*)
  3. Repeat steps 1. and 2. on your other nostril using the same swab.
  4. Place the swab into the collection tube, tip down, and break the shaft at the breakpoint. Be careful not to spill the liquid in the tube. (If the liquid is absent, the lab will reject the sample.*)
  5. Leave the swab in the collection tube and tightly screw the lid back on. Ensure the lid is tight. (The lab will reject the sample if there is leakage.*)

If any liquid spills, leaks, or the swab comes in contact with any surface, please contact CustomerService@SimplicityHomeTest.com to order a new kit.

7. Assemble the Return Mailer

To assemble your return mailer, please follow each step below:

  1. Place the collection tube containing your sample in the plastic biohazard bag with the absorbent sheet. Ensure the bag is well sealed.
  2. Re-wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  3. With clean hands, assemble the provided transport box and place the sealed biohazard bag into the box. Close the transport box and make sure the content inside is secure.
  4. Place the transport box inside the provided return mailer. If not already applied, apply the pre-paid shipping label to the return mailer, ensuring you do not cover up the UN 3373 label. Remove the mailer’s cover strip and seal the package closed. Make sure the transport box is secure inside the return mailer.
  5. Last, with the supplied alcohol pad, wipe the outside of the poly mailer, avoiding the labels.
8. Ship Your Sample

Immediately after collecting your sample and assembling your return mailer, deliver the mailer to the appropriate carrier’s drop box. It is important that the sample is shipped on the same day of collection. Ensure you drop your sample off at the drop box location before the last pickup. Do not ship your sample on the weekend.

9. Our Lab Receives Your Sample
